DOMUS Residential Services expands its business in Catalonia and Portugal

The company recently inaugurated its Capital Markets branch in Portugal, while celebrating the success of five new developments in its Barcelona office. Headquartered in Madrid, Andalusia, Valencia, Galicia, Asturias, Catalonia, the Basque Country and Portugal, the company plans to expand its teams in Lisbon and Barcelona in the coming months, betting once again on the acquisition and care of talent, something very present in its corporate DNA.

Domus Residential Services, a Spanish integrated management platform focused on the residential market since 2013, expands its business in Spain and Portugal. There are two milestones that the company (based in Madrid, but with European projection), has recently experienced and communicated. On the one hand, the opening of the Capital Markets office in Portugal, headed by Vicente Ricciardi Leitão, associate director of Domus RS. On the other hand, the acquisition of five new developments in Catalonia, giving its Barcelona office a major boost. This is expected to result in the growth of the team led by Jaume Puigbó, Manager of the company’s Catalan division.

Barcelona, ”a place with a lot of strength” and great potential
The undeniable competition that characterizes the Catalan real estate market, especially in cities such as Barcelona, has been a revulsive for Domus RS. The platform has seen its potential and development in this Spanish region multiply thanks to five new developments. In this way, from the Catalan delegation they celebrate how the established paradigm has changed, being nowadays the Catalonian market a place where ”there is willingness and desire to invest. But Domus RS not only acquires five new developments in the area, but is also the main developer in the municipality of Sabadell, one of the most important real estate niches in the region. In addition, the Barcelona office also states that they are already working in two of the most important tourist areas at national level: Costa Brava and Costa Dorada.

In the words of Jaume Puigbó, ”We plan to acquire some more promotions, a circumstance that would almost certainly make us expand the team”. In addition, with regard to talent acquisition and the care that the company takes in the conditions of its employees, the Manager adds: ”undoubtedly, having flexibility allows us to reach many more points than what happens in other companies”. ”We have a different way of approaching projects, of getting involved.” This is a flexible work model that is already working successfully in the delegations of Andalusia, the Basque Country and Madrid, and which Puigbó believes will also be implemented in Catalonia.

Portugal: a step beyond the ”classic” Capital Markets
Aware of the importance of finalizing and defining this first phase of Kick off in Portugal, Vicente Ricciardi, associate director of Domus RS, considers it important to point out what makes this delegation, whose team he has been leading for a few months now, special: ”We are not lacking in enthusiasm and projects, but in this first phase, the Portuguese project is focused on building a solid team specialized in investment management and execution. After this first step, the rest of the short-term projects will follow. These include guidance to ”any investor interested in investing in Portugal” (Domus RS Portugal is already in contact with investors from the United Kingdom), or the monitoring of the promotion in the Portuguese Algarve, among others.

This division also believes it knows the ”key” to getting things right. According to Ricciardi, on the financial situation in the Portuguese real estate sector: ”the key is to bring a dynamic perspective and to know the local situation in order to be able to offer a real point of view.” The Lisbon office also confirms how the talent and cohesive workforce that defines the company plays a direct role in its expansion. He adds: ”we are an example of how few people can do what many people do in other places”.

In a context of unstoppable expansion of the platform, Jorge Pérez-Curto, CEO of Domus Residential Services, says, ”the opening and promotion of such strategic offices as those in Catalonia and Portugal represent a new step in the consolidation of Domus RS. We will continue to work along the same lines of expansion to other areas and development of complementary businesses.”
